Maestro Maurício Galindo is a leading figure in the fusion of classical excellence and Brazilian musical heritage.

For over two decades, he served as Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the renowned Brasil Jazz Sinfônica in São Paulo, where he shaped a unique orchestral language bridging symphonic tradition and Brazilian Popular Music (MPB). He now holds the prestigious title of Conductor Laureate with the institution.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has collaborated on the symphonic stage with legendary international artists – such as Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Richard Galliano, Richard Bona, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jane Monheit, Paquito d'Rivera, Ute Lemper, John Pizzarelli, and Stacey Kent & Jim Tomlinson – as well as giants of Brazilian music like Ivan Lins, João Bosco, César Camargo Mariano, and Paulinho da Viola.

In the gallery, you will find a selection of videos of his concerts.

Beyond his podium expertise, Galindo is a celebrated communicator and educator, renowned for engaging audiences through his deep understanding of orchestration and rhythm.

Based in Portugal and holding Italian citizenship, he brings his extensive expertise to the European stage as a guest conductor. He offers a curated repertoire of symphonic masterpieces – from Villa-Lobos to contemporary jazz-inflected arrangements – providing European orchestras with an authentic, high-energy, and artistically rigorous cultural experience.
